Customers find the video projector has a clear picture and is easy to use. They find it portable and suitable for indoor use in small rooms, movie rooms, sports dens, or garages for outdoor viewing at night. The screen size is adequate for those applications. Customers appreciate the good value for money. However, some customers find the built-in speaker not loud enough and that it doesn\'t support Dolby sound.
So far I am very much enjoying the use of the Tecaki Mini Projector. My spouse and I have been wanting some alternative device to watch shows in the bedroom since we had been just watching shows off of our laptops before bed. Our bedroom is super small and the only other option was really to mount a TV to the wall, but that is way more than we want to spend, since our budget is less than a hundred bucks. Tecaki Mini Projector fits the bill.We ended up mounting it to the headboard with a small shelf and using clips to attach it to the shelf and it has been working great. We just about reached the max length of the projection which is about 9ish feet from the wall to the projector. It was easy to use the dial to adjust so the picture is clearer. At the distance that we were from the projector, the edges are kind of “pixelated” but it doesn’t seem to affect the picture quality. Depending on the angle, the device seems to be able to adjust accordingly to the angle in which you project to the wall.We have only tried connecting it via HDMI to the laptop. There are other means of connecting it (like through your smart device or usb stick) that we haven’t tried yet so cannot comment how easy or hard it may be to set up. But if you use a laptop and an HDMI cable, it is literally plug and play. When the lights are off, the colors seem true to what is on the laptop and have made our evening ritual of watching some shows before bed very enjoyable, like being at the movies.A few notes that it’s not really that “mini” as it has the diameter of a 2 liter soda bottle but it is certainly smaller and lighter than a heavy duty projector (like one you would use for a classroom or auditorium). The remote does not come with batteries so you will need to supply your own (remote seems to work well though). And you can only project straight ahead and not to the side.A small complaint is that it is pretty loud, though we have it mounted on the headboard right by our heads, so that’s probably our fault. And I have experienced projectors that were much louder. But something to be aware of still. At the time of this writing, I purchased the Tecaki Mini Projector for $70 + 20% off coupon and I can say it is very much worth the cost and is a good value. It’s not a lot of money so don’t expect it to perform the same as something that costs way more than what it is. It’s really great for indoor use in a small room and fits my needs perfectly. If this thing ever gives up the ghost or presents other issues, I will be back to update the review.
This is a very great projector for the price, the advertised 1080P resolution can be achieved at certain screen size about 75inches. The is great for travel and kids room and screen size is adequate for those applications.Project on white surface for better quality of the picture. The sound coming from built-in speaker is not loud enough you need to connect with external speaker. The iOS mirroring could be better, but we can\'t expect more from such a small device. If you are in the market for small projector, this is not a bad product to give a try.
